The MOBOTIX R8 version cameras have eight gigabytes of military-grade solid state storage built inside. This is a world first in security camera technology.

The R8 cameras are ideal for mobile and rapid deployment surveillance units where external storage is not viable, such as temporary surveillance of high crime areas. By recording on predefined event, the camera can internally record snapshots or video for up to days without external hard disks or recording PC's.

Unlike other IP cameras, the MOBOTIX video management system runs inside the camera, allowing users to remotely search and playback the video footage stored in the MOBOTIX camera and simultaneously view live images.
